Day 3

After a short Eurostar train ride from London to Paris we checked into our hostel, the      Auberge Jules Ferry, and began to explore the amazing city of Paris. Since we were hungry we decided to stop at a local sandwich/street vendor to grab a bite to eat. Simply put the food was amazing. After lunch we decided that we had to go see one of Paris’ most famous landmarks, the Eiffel Tower. Being the young travelers that we are, we decided to go to the tower in shorts and a tshirt which looking back at it was not the smartest of ideas. When we got to the square the tower sits in it was beaming with life and commotion. Street vendors selling small triquits are at every square inch of the place sharing it with breakdancers and other amazing street performers. After a 30-40 minute wait to get our tickets the journey to the top of the Eiffel tower began. Since it is a hotspot for tourists, the Eiffel tower has ridiculously long lines for the elevators. Once we got past this obstacle the view from the top of the tower was amazing. I honestly can say that I was able to see almost every part of Paris from the top of this 324-meter landmark. After we left the tower we then had dinner and checked out the local nightlife which seems to be bumping until the wee hours of the morning.
